BEZDĚČÍN ROCKS
You don't have to go to the sandstone cliffs beyond the Děčín, you can also try the rocks of Bezděčín!
A unique climbing area located on the edge of the Bohemian Paradise, less than an hour from Prague and 15 minutes from Liberec, ideally combines the advantages of safe climbing like on an artificial wall with the magic of moving on natural rocks.
On four sandstone towers with the poetic names Hřebenová, Bezděčínská, Sestroňovická and Malá zarostlá, you will find more than 100 secured routes from the easiest ones to the most difficult challenges for climbers of Adam Ondra's caliber.

Via ferrata
Bezděčín
The Bezděčín via ferrata was established in 2024 and has already become a favourite destination for climbers of all ages. Today, several via ferrata routes lead to two impressive rock towers.
If you're new to via ferratas, we recommend joining a via ferrata course first. You'll learn the proper climbing techniques and safe movement on a via ferrata, allowing you to enjoy the experience with greater confidence and peace of mind.
BEZDĚČÍNSKÁ TOWER - Via ferrata B
The first section of the ascent to Bezděčínská Tower is easier and suitable for children and complete beginners, with a maximum difficulty of B. If you're looking for more of a challenge, continue along the original, more demanding second section (up to C), featuring traverses and an overhang. Alternatively, you can choose the new easy route with a difficulty of A.
From the summit, you'll enjoy beautiful views of the Bezděčín Valley and, on a clear day, as far as Ralsko and Bezděz Castle. The total length of the routes on Bezděčín Tower is approximately 90 m. GPS coordinates of the start: 50.6618386N, 15.1306314E.
SESTROŇOVICKÁ TOWER - Via ferrata S
Two new routes have also been added on Sestroňovická Tower, with a combined length of approximately 110 m. These routes are intended for more experienced climbers, with a difficulty of C and one short section reaching D. You'll also cross a 5-metre rope bridge, which will test your balance and courage. The reward is a stunning panorama of the surrounding landscape, including Kozákov Hill. GPS coordinates of the first route: 50.6616333N, 15.1319611E.
REGISTRATION
To protect the natural environment, the via ferratas are accessible by registration only. A single registration is valid for all via ferrata routes at Bezděčín. The registration fee is CZK 50 per person per day.
By entering the via ferrata, you confirm that you have read and agree to follow the visitor rules. Thank you for treating the rocks, nature and fellow climbers with respect.

EVENTS FOR
SCHOOLS AND COMPANIES
Are you looking for a way to get your school class or company team moving? We will be happy to organize a tailor-made school or company event for you at the Bezděčín Rocks near Liberec. Children, students and adults will try rock climbing, via ferrata and other outdoor activities that will test not only their physical fitness but also their team spirit.
Program for schools, clubs and camps
Come and enjoy a half-day program in nature that will excite children and not destroy adults. We will be happy to organize a fun outdoor day on the rocks in Bezděčín, ideal for school trips, clubs, camps and other youth groups.
The most popular part of the program is the via ferrata , a secured climbing route that has two parts. The first is easy enough that everyone can do it. But children (and adults) can also try classic rock climbing here - there are routes from the simplest for children to challenges for the more daring. There will also be abseiling, belaying practice, and if there is time and energy left, we will also add fun outdoor games. We will be happy to create a diploma for all participants at the end to remind them of this adventure.
We don't recommend taking the bus to the forest at all - fortunately, it's a short walk to the rocks. Just take the train to Hodkovice nad Mohelkou and then walk 2.5 km along a leisurely nature trail to the rocks.
The program lasts 4-5 hours and is ideal for a group of around 20 children. We will adjust the number of certified instructors according to the size of the group. And if it rains? We will arrange a wet option so that you can enjoy the day even without the sun.
Teambuilding and corporate events
Do you want to plan an unconventional teambuilding in nature that no one will be able to say no to? The Bezděčín Sandstones are perfect for it. Both complete beginners and seasoned athletes can climb here. In addition, there is a via ferrata that everyone can do. Fear of heights is no problem. From then on, you will be accompanied by certified instructors who will handle everything. And it is also a great way to overcome yourself and strengthen team spirit.
A corporate event lasts approximately 4–5 hours . We are happy to devise teambuilding activities that will entertain everyone and be just the right amount of action. By agreement, it is also possible to provide light refreshments. And what if the weather is not favorable? A wet option is possible by arrangement.

I got hooked on climbing when I was in high school, when my friends and I started climbing on the rocks around Liberec. Gradually, bigger challenges came, such as the Alps or the Himalayas. I enjoy everything that has to do with climbing, from sports to multi-pitch. Because I like to share my enthusiasm, I was looking for a place where I could do it. And so the Skab project was born, where I help others discover the joy of movement and overcoming their own limits as a certified instructor on the Bezděčín Rocks .

I have been finding freedom in heights for twenty years. Climbing is not just a sport for me, but a way to be in nature, in motion and at the same time be myself. Thanks to my work as a nurse at the ICU and in the rescue service, I know how important safety is. And as a mother of three children, I know very well what patience is.
As a certified rock climbing instructor, I love passing on what I enjoy so much about climbing - the connection with nature, the joy of movement, and that beautiful feeling when you surpass yourself.
